How are the summary values calculated when viewing RFX Details? Follow
In the top of the summary view of the details of an RFX, there is a dashboard of statistical information at your disposal with which you can quickly evaluate the merits of the responses of your suppliers. Understanding the way these calculations work helps you to perform this evaluation.
RFQ Calculations
- RFQ Spend is based on Quoted, Awarded, and Unquoted parts.
- RFQ Savings listed are those are available which can be achieved.
- Quoted, Awarded, and Unquoted parts are considered for calculation.
Value | Calculation |
---|---|
RFQ Spend | $$\sum\left(\text{CPN Cost} * \text{Forecast}\right)$$ |
RFQ Savings | $$\sum\left((\text{Baseline CPN Cost} - \text{CPN Cost}) * \text{Forecast}\right)$$ |
RFQ Savings % | $$\frac{\text{RFQ Savings}}{\text{RFQ Spend} + \text{RFQ Savings}} * 100$$ |
Target Calculations
- Target that is set during the creation of an RFQ with user-defined savings preferences per vendor.
- Spend is based on the Target MPN Cost.
Value | Calculation |
---|---|
Target Spend |
$$\sum\left(\frac{\text{Target MPN Cost} * \text{Forecast} * \text{MPN Split}}{100}\right)$$ |
Target Savings |
$$\sum\left(\frac{\left(\text{Baseline CPN Cost} - \text{Target MPN Cost} \right) * \text{Forecast} * \text{MPN Split}}{100}\right)$$ |
Target Savings % | $$\frac{\text{Target Savings}}{\text{Target Spend} + \text{Target Savings}} * 100$$ |
Optimal Calculations
- When each part is allocated completely to the vendor who offers the lowest MPN cost.
Value | Calculation |
---|---|
Optimal Spend | $$\sum\min((\text{MPN Cost at CPN/CMODM Level}) * \text{Forecast})$$ |
Optimal Savings | $$\sum(\text{Baseline CPN Cost} - \min(\text{MPN Cost at CPN/CMODM Level}) * \text{Forecast})$$ |
Optimal Savings % | $$\frac{\text{Optimal Savings}}{\text{Optimal Spend} + \text{Optimal Savings}} * 100$$ |
Awarded Calculations
- These values are displayed for all record level statuses that are equal to awarded.
- Spend is attained through awarding.
- Savings is calculated from the awarding of quoted parts.
Value | Calculation |
---|---|
Awarded Spend | $$\sum\left(\frac{\text{Quoted MPN Cost} * \text{Forecast} * \text{MPN Split}}{100}\right)$$ |
Awarded Savings | $$\sum\left(\frac{(\text{Baseline CPN Cost} - \text{CPN Cost}) * \text{Forecast} * \text{MPN Split}}{100}\right)$$ |
Awarded Savings % | $$\frac{\text{Awarded Savings}}{\text{Awarded CPN Spend} + \text{Awarded Savings}} * 100$$ |
Projected Calculations (Not Yet Awarded)
- These values are displayed if all record level statuses are not equal to awarded.
- Projected Spend is how much there is to award at the RFQ Level.
- Projected Savings is what can be achieved in the Current Quarter.
- This will help users to compare with previous quarter savings.
Value | Calculation |
---|---|
Projected Spend | $$\sum\left(\text{CPN Cost} * \text{Forecast}\right)$$ |
Projected Savings | $$\sum\left((\text{Baseline CPN Cost} - \text{CPN Cost}) * \text{Forecast}\right)$$ |
Projected Savings % | $$\frac{\text{Projected Savings}}{\text{Projected Spend} + \text{Projected Savings}} * 100$$ |
Projected Calculations (Partially Awarded)
- These values are displayed if at least one record level status equals awarded; however, there are still some records that have not been awarded.
- Awarded records will be calculated under Awarded Calculations.
- Spend is based on the non-awarded MPN Cost.
- The following projections are run and displayed for the non-awarded records.
Value | Calculation |
---|---|
Projected Spend | $$\sum\left(\frac{\text{Quoted MPN Cost} * \text{Forecast} * \text{MPN Split}}{100}\right)$$ |
Projected Savings | $$\sum\left(\frac{(\text{Baseline CPN Cost} - \text{CPN Cost}) * \text{Forecast} * \text{MPN Split}}{100}\right)$$ |
Projected Savings % | $$\frac{\text{Projected Savings}}{\text{Projected CPN Spend} + \text{Projected Savings}} * 100$$ |
