How can I upload parts for on-demand benchmarking? Follow
LevaData's Benchmarking interface can present you with a variety of benchmarks for:
- parts that you manage,
- parts in a bill of materials or new product, or
- new parts you are considering.
In the event that you want to load a list of parts and get a quick idea of benchmark pricing, you can (1) download the template and then input your parts and (2) upload it back into the platform.
- Help for Chrome+MacOS users only: If you are unable to use file upload, please perform the following - System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy Tab > Full Disk Access > Press the lock symbol to unlock [bottom right of window] > Select Chrome and add it > Restart Chrome.
Downloading the template provides an Excel Workbook that is just a list format of Manufacturer Part Numbers (MPNs), input as many as you like in Column A under the header:
In this example we will input two parts, one existing in our data set and one unknown to our data set.
After saving that file, attach it in the File Upload input and then select the arrow to send it.
The Benchmark interface will provide confirmation that it is returning results specifically from your part list and display them in the table below. The part type column of the table will distinguish between:
- Existing Part: This MPN exists in your spend data loaded on the LevaData Platform.
- New Part: This MPN has not previously been seen in your spend data on the LevaData Platform.
If you have uploaded numerous parts and do not see them all, you can toggle the benchmark table between all, found, and not found:
Our Benchmarking methodology provides a variety of pricing metrics to to help you evaluate proper pricing especially on parts that you have not sourced before.
Clinking into any distributor link for a part will send you directly to a third-party pricing site to validate the exact pricing details:
We recommend you try Benchmarking your part data in the LevaData Platform and see the difference yourself. LevaData Platform regularly scans the authorized distributor market to surface opportunities for immediate spot buys to fulfill supply gaps or alternative sourcing strategies against longer lead times.
