How can I add new scope to an RFQ which has already been sent? Follow
Within Vendor Collaboration on the LevaData Platform, you may have just sent out a Request for Quote (RFQ) and forgotten a few parts you intended to include. You may also have to add some parts if requirements changed from what you had initially planned. In Vendor Collaboration, you can add scope (new line-item parts) to an RFQ you have previously issued.
Add Scope to a Request for Quote
Within Vendor Collaboration, click on the title of the RFQ or the eye icon in order to open the RFQ Details.
Landing in the Details tab and Summary sub-tab, click the Add Scope button to proceed.
Use the Update Scope Interface to add new part numbers to the RFQ. (1) Select the Not Part of RFQ filter to only see items not previously added to the scope, (2) make a selection of the number of new parts to include in the RFQ, and then (3) proceed to Next.
After selecting Next, an Alert will prompt in the upper right confirming the addition of these parts to the scope of the RFQ:
Once you have performed this action, then Key Stats, Summary, and Part Count are all updated within the RFQ interface. You are given an option at the top level to Send with these updates or Discard Added Scope if you do not want to keep these changes.
Once you have sent it, then vendors associated with the RFQ are immediately notified of the modification to the RFQ scope and the interface alerts you to the new scope being sent out successfully.
