Cognitive Sourcing Release 21.01

This document describes the final scope for Cognitive Sourcing Release 21.01. It is
intended as a reference for LevaData customers.

This document is not a comprehensive list of every addition, change, or deletion in this
release. No legal commitment, either expressed or implied should be construed from this document.

Release Highlights

1. Enhancements to Cost Optimizer

A. Introduce eBenchmark Driven Opportunities

LevaData has implemented an "eBenchmark" capability whereby benchmarks are
established based on comparisons of mpn discount from distributor lowest cost, or of
average mpn discount within various groupings, to provide additional benchmark
reference points and potential opportunities. The first grouping to be addressed is
mpn discount versus the average discount for all MPNs and their FFF matches in the
community.

In this Release, the following opportunities will be introduced as part of the eBenchmark based opportunities:
● eBenchmark @Lowest Distributor
● eBenchmark @MPN+FFF Average
● eBenchmark @Supplier Average

Users can now access these opportunities as part of the existing Savings Opportunities and Review Opportunities:

2. Enhancements to Supply Risk Dashboard

Supply Risk Navigator is an Early Adopter product. If you would like to participate in
the Early Adopter Program, please contact your Customer Success Representative.

A. New Risk Metrics

The Risk Module was enhanced to include Risk due to Lead Time.
A new Sourcing Strategy Risk rolls up Single Source, Requalification Time, and Vendor Managed Inventory into a Single Risk. Details of the contributing factors are now visible in the Risk Dashboard.

B. Risk Dashboard updates to include new Risk Types

The Supply Risk Dashboards have been updated to report the new risk factors
developed during the previous and current release.
● Time-to-requalify a new part
● Vendor Managed Inventory
● Lead Time
● Two Supplier Scorecard metrics (Quality and Delivery)

C. Product Segment Importance Indicators

A new capability to upload Product Segment Importance is now available.

Product importance can be used to prioritize risk for further assessment and evaluation, based on the strategic importance of Product/Product Families.

If you would like to upload your Product Importance Segmentation, please contact
your Customer Success Representative.

 
D. Risk Data Health Dashboard

The Risk Data Health Dashboard now reflects availability of the newly added Risk Types.

E. Supplier Scorecard Upload and Visibility

A new capability to upload customer collected Supplier Rating Data (Scorecards) is
now available.

Uploaded Scorecard data is visible in the Market Intelligence Partner Scorecard
Details tab.

F. News

The News feature is now active and is being trained by Leva to incorporate feedback
on relevancy to users. Please help train the AI system by providing “thumbs up /
