Release Highlights
1. Enhancements to Cost Optimizer
A. Ability to configure Auto action rules to Auto Review opportunities
We have previously released the Review Opportunities workbench that allows you to
review, modify, accept and reject opportunities systematically. This workbench also enables visibility to opportunities that are new needing review and which opportunities have already been reviewed previously. In this release, we are adding a UI page to create rules to automate the Review Opportunities. Based on the rules set by the user, the system will auto accept or reject the opportunities.
This will help automate the opportunities review process and help to show the most
relevant and credible opportunities to the user, while removing the manual effort of
filtering through the opportunities one at a time. To learn more about the Review
Opportunities workbench, please contact your customer success representative.
To access this feature, users would need to follow the steps below:
● Login to the LevaData platform with valid credentials.
● Click on the Review Opportunities link available in the left navigation bar.
● Click on the icon available on the top right corner of the screen to access the
Auto Action Rules listing page as shown below:
2. Enhancements to New Product Accelerator
A. Enabling RFI from NPA
Presently, users are unable to send RFIs from NPA and would have to switch to the SmartRFx module to communicate with Suppliers/CMODMs.
With this release, RFIs can be sent to CMODMs or Suppliers directly from the View
BOM screen in NPA. This removes the need for manual communication or switching
back and forth within the LevaData platform to get updated parts information (such
as cost, terms etc.) from vendors.
Access to sending RFIs can be provided to specific users by Super Admins through
the User Configuration tab in the Administration screen.
Commodity RFI
When a Program Manager/GCM needs updated Parts information from Suppliers,
they can select CPNs and send RFIs.
Users can compose a unique RFI Name as shown below:
RFI Initiation/Success
When the user clicks on the Send RFI button, the RFI is first initiated in the backend.
Then a popup confirms the successful RFI communication.
RFI Details are then updated on the BOM
- Supplier users should be configured for a successful RFI process. This can
be done in the Manage Vendors screen.
Commodity RFI Response
The supplier would login into the LevaData Supplier Portal where they would be able
to view/manage all RFIs (and RFQs sent on sustenance parts) sent by PM/GCM for
NPA parts.
The supplier user can then choose to respond with updated cost information or
choose not to bid at all.
Once a supplier responds, the View BOM screen, (if in checked out status), will show
a popup to confirm updating the BOM with the responded information.
Note: if the BOM is already checked in, the supplier responses are automatically
updated by the system.
Note :
- Supplier responses are saved only after the BOM is checked in. If the user
clicks on Undo Checkout, supplier responses are lost after confirmation.
Product RFI
The difference between a Product RFI and Commodity RFI is:
- Prod RFI is sent to CMODM / JDM while Commodity RFI is sent to Suppliers
- For Product RFI, users can select either Sub Assemblies or the entire Product
- CMODMs can respond with Product level cost or Part level cost, based on user requirement. (If customers want to push CMODMs to respond at the Part level for better transparency, it can be configured accordingly through the backend)
B. Usability Enhancement: Production Parts Autofill
Currently, if an uploaded BOM has parts with sourcing information (MPN, Supplier, Manufacturer, etc.), then the Production Parts Autofill ignores these parts while trying
to pull information from Sustenance.
With this release, Production Parts Autofill will compare BOM values and sustenance values and show the delta for the user to decide whether to pull the information.
Note:
- If there are no changes between the BOM values and Sustenance values for
a particular Part Number, it will not show up on this screen since there is no
action required.
- Users can choose to confirm pulling the delta by clicking on the Confirm
button or undo the Autofill action by clicking on the Discard button.
C. Usability Enhancement: Sorting Risks from High to Low
With this release and subsequent ones, Risks such as EOL, Multi Source and Supplier Financials in the Risk Widget will be sorted from High to Low for better usability.
3. Known Issues
A. As a user, where we offer both Excel and .CSV download options, the .CSV must
be used for accurate data. The Excel issue relates to AWS limitations for which
we have requested a solution.
