Release Highlights
1. Enhancements to Cost Optimizer
A. e-Benchmark Trends View By CPN
Presently, platform users view e-Benchmark trends by MPN. Going forward, users will
also have an option to see the e-benchmark trends from a CPN lens, allowing for
better top-down visibility.
Users can get a consolidated view of MPNs and CPNs mapped onto the same plane.
When they hover over a particular MPN, the respective CPN and split information is
displayed.
Steps to access this feature:
1. Open https://cognitive.levadata.net/
2. Login with the LevaData credentials
3. Click on Market Intelligence tab in the left navigation pane
4. Select Benchmark tab
5. The ‘e-benchmark Trends’ CPN view is visible by default as shown below:
2. Enhancements to New Product Accelerator
A. Parts Workbench 1.0 Beta
Parts Workbench is a single source of truth for the GCM and other user persona to
monitor and take actions on parts across the entire parts portfolio from 3 different
perspectives:
- Data Health
- Opportunities
- Risk perspectives
If you would like to participate in the Leva Early Adopter Program (L.E.A.P) and provide
feedback, please get in touch with your Customer Success Director.
Visibility
Users get a 360o view of NPI and Sustenance parts on a single screen, and can track
prioritized metrics such as Portfolio Cost, Target vs Current cost, etc. via a
scoreboard which allows them to select high-priority KPIs.
Users can pre-configure the KPIs that are most important to them and track data
based on those metrics:
Users can get to the necessary parts information through configurable quick filters,
allowing them to take quick actions/decisions:
Data Health
Users can easily address data health issues such as missing MPNs, suppliers, and
manufacturers through the Data Health card. Clicking on the specific parameter
filters the grid for quicker access as shown below:
Opportunities & Risks
Currently, to view the Cost savings/reduction opportunities or risk mitigation metrics
across NPI and Sustenance parts, users must switch between different screens. In
the Parts Workbench, users get a consolidated view of opportunities and risks across
both worlds for better decision making.
3. Enhancements to Supply Risk Navigator
Supply Risk Navigator is a LevaData Early Adopter Product. Please contact your
Customer Success Director if you would like to discuss participation in the program.
A. Customer-Provided Supplier Scorecard
SRN accommodates the ingestion and display of customer-provided Supplier
Scorecard data for Delivery, Quality, Cost and Responsiveness.
Customer-provided score card data is loaded by the CSA team as part of a standard
data load, and displayed in the Partner Scorecard Details Tab.
B. Customer-Provided Financial Ratings
SRN accommodates the ingestion of Your Private Company Ratings data via the
Supplier Scorecard template. (Note: Public Company Rapid Ratings data is loaded
daily via a direct API). Both Private and Public company data is now used by SRN to
calculate Supplier Financial Risk and are visible in the Risk Dashboards at the Manufacturer, CPN and MPN levels, one example of which is shown below.
(Note: Private Company data is not currently visible in the Partner Scorecard but will
be added in a future release).
C. Supplier, Manufacturer and Commodity Trends
Trends is a LevaData Early Adopter feature for SRN and is shown in Insights Beta
pending finalization as a core SRN feature.
Manufacturers/Suppliers, by sub commodity are shown in Insights Beta and
accessed via the dropdown in the upper right of the page. Selection of the
Manufacturer (Supplier) Trends Insight provides data to:
1. Assist in identifying alternate suppliers in a commodity. The top charts show
top manufacturers by sub commodity, as well as your spend with those top
manufacturers so you can evaluate possible alternates or discrepancies in
your spending pattern vs the community.
2. The second chart evaluates the market by sub commodity in terms of Market
Concentration, Market Consolidation rate and Market Consolidation Trend.
Scrolling down further one can view time histories of the consolidation trend for
select commodities.
D. Inventory (VMI) and Time-to-Requalify Added to Risk Analysis
SRN accommodates ingestion of Inventory and Time-to-Requalify. These factors are
included in the Risk Calculations, and the raw data is also displayed in the Risk
Dashboards under the labels “VMI” and “Time to Requalify”.
Note: Inventory is always shown a the CPN-level. The ability to configure it at the
product or CM level will be added in future releases.
E. Supplier Site Events Beta
Site events have been added as a Beta LevaData Early Adopter Program in the Supply
Risk Navigator. If you would like to participate in the program, please contact your
Customer Success Representative.
LevaData senses events that may impact supply. Events include Manufacturing (Site
Disruptions), Environmental (Weather and similar events that may impact multiple
sites and suppliers), Covid-related shutdowns and Supplier Business events. In this
beta-release, the numbers of events that are passed to the User are low.
Events can be accessed via the new Supply Risk Mitigation Menu item:
When this is selected the user is presented with a dashboard of event-related items.
a) Scoreboard provides a summary of event status
b) Scrollable Expanded Scoreboard shows
· Event location; viewable by status, type, or supplier
· Counts of impacted parts or suppliers
· Average Resolution times
c) List of Events: Details about the event can be accessed by clicking on the event name, and includes relevant News Articles
d) List of affected sites for a selected event
e) List of affected parts for the selected sites for the selected event/site
f) Filters that allow for the application of a variety of customized filters
to limit what is shown in the tables/lists.
g) List of affected parts for the selected sites for the selected event/site
Track the Status of an Event
Users can manage their work and change the status of events as they progress through the task of analyzing and responding to the events.
Status includes:
● New
● Dismissed:
● In Review
● In mitigation
● Resolved
The status of individual supplier sites is similarly tracked.
The status of parts is similarly tracked, but there is an additional status flag that indicates if there is an RFI out on the part, for any event in the system. RFI sent and RFI received are indicated, along with the RFI number.
Explore Alternates
The Explore Alternates feature allows the user to find alternate parts and suppliers for parts that may be impacted by an event. The Base Scenario Lists all potentially affected parts, while the Alternates, where available, for a given scenario (e.g. Scenario = non-impacted sites) are shown in the table below.
Request for Information (RFI)
The user can directly send a request for information about the capacity and parts to any onboarded suppliers (those with contact information).
4. Enhancements to Platform / Smart RFX
A. Ability to multi-select COO in the supplier portal
A CPN or Product can have more than one Country of Origin with contributions from
various sites. It is apparent that a product may be obtained or produced by only one
country, but it can also be a product manufactured with the contribution of several
countries. As a solution, we have incorporated a multi-select option in the dropdown
menu.
To access this feature the supplier would have to do the following,
1. Login into the portal and open a RFQ for which the COO needs to be selected.
2. The supplier can search for a specific country of origin (COO) and select more than one country of origin as shown below and can click on send to complete the response
against a quote.
3. Once the response from the supplier is received then the GCM can open the RFQ and view the Country of Origin values selected in the supplier portal.
B. New Tenant onboarding using automation
After a new tenant has been created, the current process to onboard them into SRFX is done manually by executing some procedures in the backend. The onboarding of the tenant into SRFX has been automated to increase the agility of this process and reduce the implementation time by the following steps:
Step 1: The Super Administrator can login into SRFX application and click on the ellipsis to see the screen below to select the Administration menu option as shown below.
Step 2: The Super Administrator would be taken to the Administration screen where he
would have to navigate to the Customer Configuration tab and further select the Configure
Tenant sub option to see the screen below:
Step 3: The Super Administrator in the Customer Configuration tab can further scroll down
and select the Commodity Features or Product Features to further configure Commodity RFX
or Product RFX for a tenant based on their business needs.
Step 4: The Super Administrator can further select the modules within Smart RFX like
1. RFQ
2. RFI
3. Information Sharing
4. Manage Vendors
5. Reports
The Super Administrator can perform a check at the Smart RFX or can individually select individual modules based on the agreement with LevaData. Once this is done then the super administrator can click on the SAVE button to execute the mandatory scripts to onboard SRFX automation for this particular tenant, so that he can start accessing the SRFX application.
5. Known Issues
[Supply Risk Navigator]
1. The customer provided supplier scorecard displays scores as an integer that
reflects the rounded value of the actual score.
2. Private Company Rapid Ratings Data is not shown in the Partner Score Card. Rapid Ratings Data for Suppliers Ratings Date data for Private Financials to be added
to the Partner Scorecard, along with the Ratings Date, in a future Release.
3. Negotiation Levers are not populating in Smart RFx
4. EOL Data for new BOMs in NPA. A few corner cases where not able to see the
latest EOL information.
