Cognitive Sourcing Release 21.07

This document describes the final scope for Cognitive Sourcing Release 21.07. It is
intended as a reference for LevaData Customers.
This document is not a comprehensive list of every addition, change, or deletion in this
release. No legal commitment, either expressed or implied should be construed from this document.

Release Highlights
1. Enhancements to Cost Optimizer
A. Distributor part link for “eBenchmark@lowest Distributor” from Review Opportunities
When reviewing the “eBenchmark@lowest Distributor” opportunities, users can now
access the source of the lowest market price by following the below steps:
● Login with valid credentials
● Click on the Review Opportunities available in the left menu bar.
● Expand the Scoreboard and filter the opportunities by selecting “eBenchmark@lowest Distributor” from the opportunity filter and click apply.
● Minimize the scoreboard to view the filtered opportunity grid by “eBenchmark@lowest Distributor”.
● Select the desired eBenchmark opportunity and scroll right the grid to view the Part
Distributor Link column.
● Click on the “See Latest Price and Availability” link to navigate to the part distributor
page in the new browser window.
B. Additional Demand Breakup table is now available by Quarter
Users can now see the Demand Breakup Table by each quarter for the selected time
period. This table will help users understand the CPN level demand in different
groupings.
To access this table user should follow the below steps:
● Login with the valid credentials
● Click on the Spend Intelligence link available in the left menu bar
● Select the forecast tab.
● Scroll down the page to view the demand break up table as shown below:
Here:
Net demand = Max (Gross demand- On hand inventory, 0)
When inventory exceeds demand, then net demand is 0 and will be used as such in the Spend intelligence.
Please note if the eBenchmark Target Cost is not available for the selected MPN, the user will see the “Cost Not Available”
2. Enhancements to Supply Risk Navigator
A. Event Management - Tag News to events
In addition to AI detected events, Supply Risk Navigator now enables users to manually
create events in addition if needed. In this release, we have introduced a new user
interface to create and edit events as well as to associate news stories to those
events.
On the Manage Event screen, users will see the Events popup when they click on the
● Add Event button
or
● pencil icon next to an event
Users can continue to add or modify the event details such as title, description, event type, and the suppliers impacted.
When the expand icon for the Associated News card is clicked on, the Events popup appears; this popup screen can be used to link or unlink news articles to the event.
Users can browse or search for desired news articles and click on the + icon on the right. Then the linking process can be completed using the Submit button. Once done, all associated news articles will start appearing under the event.
Similarly, users can click on the expand icon on the Site Location Details card to add the
impacted sites.
B. Scoreboard for Portfolio Risk
With this release, a new Risk Summary tab is introduced in Supply Risk, which now
shows the summary of Portfolio risk.
This summary shows the users’ Portfolio spend, and related risk scores. A summary
of the Impact by Commodity, Count of CPN under risk, CPN Risks and MPN risks is
also available.
C. Vendor Site Management
With this release a new Vendor Site Management tab is introduced under
Administration. This screen is used to manually edit or add Vendor Site locations.
This will enable customers to add their vendor sites into the system.
3. Enhancements to the Platform / Smart RFX
A. Accept/Reject product components in bulk
Currently, users have the option to accept or reject components one at a time during a product RFX response.
As a part of our commitment to enhance the RFX user experience, an option to accept or reject components in bulk has been introduced. Users can now select multiple components from the supplier or vendor response and accept or reject it.
Once the user selects multiple components in the supplier response, the Accept and Reject buttons are enabled.
