Excel Quote Process (Video) Follow
LevaData Supplier Portal alerts supplier users via email when a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Request for Information (RFI) is received from a customer and guides suppliers to the portal to respond. This video demonstrates how a user can see their RFQs in the RFX List, and then download/export the RFQ to be opened in Excel. The user may want to export an RFQ to Excel in order to share internally amongst their team and provide responses on different line items.
When an Excel is exported, responses are expected to be input into any cell that is grey unless a line item is set to no bid. The user should not:
- Add or Modify the columns/rows of the Excel in any way
- Paste in any data that is different in form to the default of the Excel (e.g. pasting a formula into a cell that expects alphanumeric input, pasting a number with 10 decimal points into a cell which only allows 4 decimal points, etc.).
After finishing the changes and responses, the Excel file can be uploaded back into the Smart RFX module and data will be presented in a preview mode which allows the user to review and perform any necessary error reconciliation before sending it on as a response to the customer.
