Why did my upload fail after using VLOOKUP in my Excel Workbook? Follow
When working in the Supplier Portal, you will likely be responding to multiple Requests for Quote (RFQ) and Requests for Information (RFI), and you may want to quickly reference the information input in a previously finished RFQ that you saved locally in Excel Workbook format.
One common way to do this is using the VLOOKUP function and populating the matching information from one Excel Workbook to another. This can cause issues with data / input fidelity in the fields required by our system to read the input after Excel import. There can be issues with the data being input as the incorrect variable type for the cell and there can be issues with the Excel Workbook having the correct information after the referenced Workbook is no longer present (i.e. after the new one is submitted by itself to our system).
To prevent these types of issues from occurring, it is recommended that if you try to perform a VLOOKUP or Index Match, or some similar function, that you copy and paste that information as values so that the data / input fidelity is preserved in the Excel Workbook.
