How can I identify part risks and revenue impact on product families? Follow
LevaData Platform's Risk feature can identify the risk levels of your parts/components by commodity and help you to understand the potential revenue impact of those risks on your product families so you can take action.

Identify Part Risks to Product Families
Navigate to (1) Risk and land in the Portfolio Risk tab, then select (2) Controls to configure for these risks:
(1) Open the Commodity dropdown, (2) Select the Commodity relevant to you, for this example I have chosen Mechanicals. From there, you can (3) select the arrow to collapse the controls.
After you have minimized the control filter, (1) use the navigation bar to scroll down to two relevant tables of information: (2) Top Risks by Product Family and (3) Top Risks by CPN
Top Risks: Product Family
You can (1) select the expanding arrows to maximize this table in the interface, and work here in the platform, or (2) click the ... to Export to an Excel Workbook; however, if you choose to retain the application view, you can (3) click into any of the quantifiable columns and sort by ascending or descending quantity.
In this example Filtered Spend has been sorted in descending order so we can see that our Concorde Product Family has $106M in spending by product family over the next four quarters. While the overall product family is not at a high risk, there are many CPNs (79% of the total at risk) which could have issues, and a mitigation action would be to drill into those to 33 CPNs and check for problems.
If you click into the number of CPNs at Risk in the table, you will see the other data elements refresh and recalibrate with this information, and visually you can see now that Concorde is in focus and Everest is tapered transparently to be minimized. Now we can examine those 33 parts.
Top Risks: CPN
With that above CPN at Risk filter applied to the Product Family level, we can similarly expand and examine this table, and in this case Product Sales Impact has been sorted in descending order so we can see that the first CPN listed is "LAB7636021P" which if it became unavailable would impact $166.41M of our product revenue over the next four quarters for the given Product Family.
It is very likely this part is mandatory for nearly all of our production and given that there are only two sources for the CPN, a mitigation action would be to identify some more sources for this part or identify some substitutes for this part.
