1. Enhancements to Review Opportunities
a. Review Opportunities No Longer Reset when Tolerance Limit Not Applied
Within Review Opportunities, user administrators can setup the Tolerance % to any threshold. See:
What this does is if a previously reviewed opportunity of any status is updated and the opportunity amount change exceeds this threshold, the opportunity will be reverted to Not Reviewed to give you another chance to re-examine it.
If your Tolerance % is set to 10% and you previously rejected a cost savings opportunity of $1000, if our system determines from new data that the opportunity is now $1100, the opportunity would be presented again for your review. This administrative feature gives user administrators the freedom to determine the amount that makes it worthwhile to spend the time re-reviewing.
Previously some of our opportunities would present themselves again in the platform after initial user acknowledgement when that opportunity exceeded a default % threshold if the user administrator had not set any % threshold value, now this will no longer occur.
- If you do not set a tolerance %, previously accepted or rejected opportunities will no longer return.
- If you do set a tolerance %, those same opportunities will only return if the change exceeds that threshold.
2. Enhancements to Smart RFX (SRFX)
a. Bulk Add Supplier/Vendor Users
Previously, our users were unable to do vendor user creation for multiple vendors simultaneously.
In this release, users will now be able to download a template and fill out basic mandatory information for a new supplier user and which vendor they are associated with, including adding multiple users to the same vendor with this template.
This option is a new button for Excel Upload in the Manage Vendors interface accessible via the three-dot menu in the upper right of the UI.
Selecting this option prompts the user to download a vendor input template file, and when they have modified it locally, they can use the same prompt to upload it.
Once uploaded, these new users are added to the appropriate vendor accounts and are automatically sent activation instructions to access LevaData Supplier Portal and respond to your requests on the platform.
This should reduce time and effort required for proper vendor management.
b. User Interface Improvements
The Create RFX Dropdown menu in the upper right is more noticeable now due to the color contrast.
The RFX List in all views should now be better aligned and distributed so that if the user has numerous RFXs they are better arrayed for readability. In the Kanban view for example, the lists are centrally aligned and equally spaced to make multiple items easier to scan and review.
Within the RFX Drafting window, in the Finalize and Send Tab, there are two new enhancements:
- Opportunity Summary presented in the interface can be downloaded/exported to an Excel Workbook:
- Summary Items (e.g. Commodity Count, or in this case Sub_Commodity Count) can be opened up and viewed in a larger detailed view.
3. Enhancements to Supply Risk Navigator (SRN)
a. New Reports in the Portfolio Risk Dashboard
Summary Reports
A new dashboard that provides out-of-the-box reports on Supplier Risk Profile, Top 20 Highest Risk Suppliers, Top 20 Highest Risk Parts, and an End-of-Life Parts Profile was added into the sub-tab Summary Reports in the Portfolio Risk Dashboard.
Supplier Risk Profile and Top 20 Highest Risk Suppliers:
Top 20 Highest Risk Parts and End of Life Analysis:
Multi-Source Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Beta Feature
This new dashboard is a beta version that will provide time-series views of Risk KPIs. It is included in this release in order to solicit feedback from our users on the KPIs of interest. This version provides historical performance of multi-source KPIs, including the percent of spend that is dual or multi-sourced, by sub-commodity, and the trends over time.
b. Data Sufficiency Criteria for Risk Calculations
Logic was added to the risk code that will limit risk calculations to provide an assessment only if available data is "sufficient" to perform a reasonable assessment. When data is not available, "Insufficient Data" is indicated in the Risk Column of the portfolio dashboard. With this feature such parts and manufacturers will be identified, but listed at the bottom of the tables, thus facilitating the assessment of high-risk parts only when enough data is available.
c. Geographic Concentration Risk Dashboard
A new Geographic Concentration sub-tab that indicates spend by Country of Origin (COO) has been added to the Market Trends > Geographic Trends Tab. This feature indicates spend by COO, where COO is based on user input. When user specifies more than one COO for any given single part, the spend will be distributed equally across each of those countries and may distort the spend breakdown by COO on these metrics.
Filtering by a specific commodity (e.g. Electromechanical) is supported to enable viewing of where your spend in that commodity is concentrated:
You can further drill-down into sub-commodity (e.g. Fuses) to see the spend by country for that:
d. Potential Spend Impact at the Part Level in Events Dashboard
Within the Events tab, drilling down into an Event > Site Affected > Parts Affected will now calculate and display the Potential Spend Impact by part at that site for that event.
e. Multiple Assignees/Collaborators on an Event Task
Task creators can now collaborate with multiple users to resolve an event assessment. When the user creates a task/request for collaboration, the option to provide multiple assignees/collaborators is provided:
When the task is posted, a sub-task is spawned to each of the assignees, and all are viewable in the list of open tasks by the owner of the original task:
f. UI Updates for User Created and Cloned Events
Users are currently provided the ability to either:
- "Clone" a LevaData event in order to add information that they may have discovered about the event (e.g. additional impacted suppliers, sites, geographies, or news) or
- "Create" their own company-private Events or "What If" Scenarios for use in investing potential impacts on their portfolio of a hypothetical event or event that may not have been identified by LevaData.
Events/Scenarios can be created from scratch or directly from a news item that appears in the Industry News page. They are created, managed, and stored in the "My Events" page in LevaData and indicated with green highlighting in the table of Events:
In the current release, the UI has been updated to facilitate specification of the Suppliers, Sites and News associated with the Event/Scenario.
In the Impacted Suppliers Tab, Users can select the Suppliers that they want to add to the event/scenario. Alternatively, as shown below, users can (1) filter to a selected geography (multi-select Country, State, City) then (2) invoking the "Search" button, then (3) the supplier list will be correspondingly filtered to suppliers with locations in the geography and those of interest can be selected from the filtered list.
Similarly, users can specify sites that should be included (these are filtered based on the selected geography in the Affected Sites Tab and are independent of the suppliers selected in the Impacted Suppliers tab).
Finally, users can add news to the event based on keyword searches of available news articles
g. Explore Alternate Parts Updates
Users have the option to look for alternate parts for a given scenario using the Explore Alternates button on either the Events tab, or through the Risk RFI. In the past, multiple records were displayed for the same part because all scenarios and all manufacturing sites were displayed. Now, the list defaults to only one Scenario (FFF Community), but the user still has the option to select alternate scenarios. Additionally, the user can toggle to either include alternate sites as individual records, or to just list the alternate part once (a single record), thus leaving the site selection to the supplier.
