Review Opportunities: Auto Action Rules Follow
Review Opportunities allows users to review LevaData Recommended Opportunities and accept or reject them based on what they find helpful. The platform learns from the user's actions over time and improves the accuracy of recommendations.
Auto Action Rules are a feature which allows users to streamline this process for specific opportunity types and amounts to narrow or expand the scope of what they review by default. Auto Action Rules can be setup to automatically accept or reject opportunities based on a very large number of criteria:
Setup Auto Action Rules
You can configure your rules to automate your opportunity reviewing process. Within Review Opportunities, click the auto action rules button:
Here you can review your existing Auto Action Rules or select the (+) icon to create a new one:
The Auto Action Rules allows you to setup and configure rules for auto-accept or auto-reject, then setting the desired dimension values that apply and hitting Save to create the rule.
These rules will carry on perpetually onto future quarter opportunities until deleted, so they should be applied judiciously. For example, if you set auto-reject for 0-3% Opportunity (%) you will get rid of a lot of low savings threshold opportunities which may not be worth your effort to pursue, but you may also miss an opportunity to discover cost savings on one of your highest volume parts.
Important Note: Be very careful about setting broad Opportunity (%) or Opportunity ($) ranges for auto accept or auto reject rules. If you setup a rule that covers the entire minimum to maximum scope, then all opportunities will trigger that action. If you need assistance setting up auto-action rules, please reach out to customer support or your customer service manager.
Running Auto Action Rules
Users can run auto-action rules as soon as they are created. Users do not need to wait until the next data refresh to see the auto-rules applied to the opportunities. Those with privileges pertaining to the rule (rule creator, tenant admin) can run the rule, and also modify or delete the rule as necessary. Other users besides the owner can view the rule details and last run details.
Looking at the Auto Action Rules list, we can (1) click on the rule "Test 123", and (2) immediately Run Now so the ruleset fires off and automatically accepts any reviewed opportunities that meet the criteria of the ruleset.
Conclusion
Auto Action Rules are a powerful tool within Review Opportunities to streamline the process of digging through potentially hundreds of savings opportunities and more quickly surfacing the ones which meet the most realistic criteria of the savings targets that your organization is prioritizing.
