BOM Compare: Bill of Materials Compare Follow

BOM Compare (formerly known as New Product Introduction) allows users to compare multiple versions of a given Bill of Materials (BOM) and validate any discrepancies. Users can compare the BOM between programs or revisions (side-by-side) to understand the changes. From the BOM Compare Sub-tab, users can select revisions to compare and then filter changes (added, deleted, or modified) items. BOM Compare also grants visibility into which changes were made by which users.

Once a program is created and a BOM is ingested, you can navigate to the BOM compare sub-tab and select the revisions you would like to compare:

There is a single scroller for both vertical and horizontal movement. The quick filters allow the user to filter both BOMs based on what is added, deleted or modified.

Summary information can be viewed in a graph view. If you click on any portion of the graph you will navigate to the details of that area of the program.

These features offer great agility and insights into both BOMs. Value is created by exposing these changes between the BOMs and granting quick visibility into the reason why changes were made, by whom and when.
