Getting Started with Leva AI in Spend Intelligence Follow
Overview
Leva AI is an AI-powered chat assistant integrated into the Spend Intelligence platform. It enables users to explore and analyze their direct material spend data through a conversational interface, making it faster and easier to uncover insights without relying on manual reporting or spreadsheets.
How to Use Leva AI
When you log into the LevaData platform, you will land on the Spend Intelligence dashboard. From there, you can click on the Leva AI tab and ask a question.
Leva AI is context-aware and will respond based on the data available in your Commodity Scope.
What Leva AI Can Do
Leva AI is trained on your direct material spend data that is uploaded to LevaData and accessible through the Commodity Scope of Spend Intelligence. You can use Leva AI to:
- Ask natural language questions about spend trends
- Explore component demand based on forecasts
- Investigate manufacturer or supplier performance
- Break down costs and demand by commodity, sub-commodity, manufacturer, or commodity manager
- Create custom reports
This makes navigating complex data more intuitive and allows for quick creation of custom views and analysis.
What Leva AI Cannot Do (Yet)
Leva AI is a powerful assistant, but it currently has limitations:
- No access to Product Scope data: Leva AI cannot provide insights related to product-level details or BOMs that fall outside the Commodity Scope.
- Not trained on LevaData insights: This includes:
- Benchmarks
- Savings opportunities
- Sourcing Availability (e.g., lead-times, part lifecycle status, Years to EOL, country of origin)
These types of insights remain available within LevaData but are not yet accessible to Leva AI.
