Identifying long lead time parts near end of life can help organizations to plan and prepare for the future and take proactive measures to ensure that the necessary inventory is on-hand for production requirements. Sourcing alternate or replacement parts reduces risk of stockouts and supply chain disruptions. Identifying long lead time parts also helps to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs for your organization.
Identify Long Lead Time Parts Near End of Life
Within Risk Thresholds, we will use two separate calculations to get our part risk intelligence data:
- Market Leadtime Range: use the slider to drag up from 0-100 to 13-100 - this will display parts with known lead times longer than a quarter-year or unknown lead times.
- YTEOL Range: click the red horizontal bar segment for (1 or less years to end of life) - this will display parts that are exactly known to be end of life.
- The CPN > MPN Table will show you all of the parts which meet both conditionals - both long or unknown lead times and known end of life.
- You can export a list of these parts in the upper right of the Part Risk Table and use that information with Alternate Options to find new sources for these parts on demand.
